BCW (Burson Cohn & Wolfe)'s Technology Practice has an opening at the Account Director level, serving as the day-to-day account lead on large B2B technology accounts, managing both strategy and execution.

Our Technology Practice partners with clients to bring communications expertise to technology advancements, building a tangible business asset together. We work closely with our clients to identify what differentiates their products or services as the foundation of clear and compelling communications. The stories that follow generate awareness, define new markets and spark the imagination for what's to come. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Ensure all client news including announcements, launches and programs are on schedule and oversee account team to make sure they are working against deadlines and deliverables
  • Oversee media strategies including proactive, reactive and news/trend-jacking opportunities alongside the media lead
  • Have a pulse on all industry-related news and key moments in time; Flag to the client as relevant
  • Strategize with the team to deliver top-tier media recommendations directly to the client
  • Introduce relevant mainstream and trade media to the client and build relationships within the technology media landscape and within relevant business verticals (i.e. government, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, transportation and logistics)
  • Develop and edit contributed content including abstracts, bylines and Q&As for executive leadership team
  • Review all client-facing work including pitches, sensitive emails, thought leadership materials
  • Build quarterly and yearly plans for the client’s individual business units (i.e. government, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, transportation and logistics)
  • Create staffing plans and budget breakdowns for the account team that are in line with the quarterly scope of work
  • Lead brainstorms for product launches and tier-one announcements
  • Participate in onsite planning meets as needed
  • Ensure account team is meeting quarterly metrics across the account (interviews, placements, and more)
  • Attend tier-one tradeshows (1-2 a year) and provide strategic counsel on media initiatives
  • Lead weekly client calls between markets with counterparts in each region
  • Lead monthly global alignment calls with counterparts in each region
